Step 1: Initial consultation
The dentist will examine your mouth and X-rays, and then use a cone beam computed tomography (CBCT) scanner to obtain a three-dimensional image.
The scanned images will be processed by specialised software to determine where the implants should be placed.
Step 2: Implant placement
If there are teeth where the implant is to be placed, they will need to be extracted beforehand.
But don’t worry. You will be given anaesthesia so you don’t feel pain or discomfort during the procedure.
First, the dentist will place the implants at the planned sites.
